Meeting of OW Alumni in Nahodka

Open World alumni met at the Internet Access and Training Center in Nakhodka to discuss possibilities of cooperation with local non-governmental organizations. On January 30, 2006, the IATP Site Coordinator Ivannikova made a presentation about the Internet Access and Training Program. Alumni discussed a number of charity and handicapped-oriented projects. Alumni also had an opportunity to attend a “Fundraising for Civil Initiatives Support Activities on the Internet” seminar. As the result of this meeting, Svetlana Yakimenko (OW/RLP 2002 Alumna) developed a project that she now presents to IATP in hope of receiving funding through the Alumni Initiative Fund.
