World Intellectual Property Rights Day

26 April 2006. In collaboration with the Novosibirsk IATP center, the Branch of State Public Scientific Library, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science gathered patent specialists based in Novosibirsk attending the International Property Rights Day initiated by the World Intellectual Property Rights Organization.

During the event, the local city administration and organizing council of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science addressed the audience during which they highlighted the leading problems with property right violations in Russia. Additionally, they briefly summarized steps academicians in Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk, Russia are pursuing to solve the problem: new databases and electronic / printed awareness campaigns.
